Welcome to the homepage of Dr. Kruegers nanoscience group !
Nanosciene and nanotechnology are considered key technologies of the 21st century with promises to solve key problems of modern societies which are e.g. clean sufficient energy supply, clean water, personal healthcare and the development of multifunctional smart materials for various applications.
The research of Dr. Krueger focuses on the development of nanoparticles and nanoparticle hybrid systems for applications in solar cells, light converting systems, fuel cell electrodes and bioanalytics.
Starting from fundamental research, including mechanistic studies on the nanoparticle growth and the development of novel syntheses routes, modifications of nanomaterials and their integration into functional devices are investigated.
The research group is currently located at the Freiburg Material Research Centre (FMF) of the University of Freiburg Germany.
